Day Trip to Rayito

We’re headed down to celebrate recent birthdays!  This is a great time to play and hang out with the children and adults at Casa Hogar Rayito de Luz y Esperanza at the original home site.  We will be taking gifts, some donations, a recently donated SUV and having a party with lunch, cake and ice cream.

We would also like to take a construction team down to help at the “Ranch” (the new site where the foster/orphanage home will be moving to).  This is especially great for those who aren’t exactly children-people but still have a heart to help them.

We’ll be taking a van and a high-capacity SUV which means our groups are usually between 16 and 20 people.  These 2 vehicles, and their drivers, are entered into the SENTRI program which will allow us quick entry back to the US.

What you will need:

• $25/person (goes towards covering the party, gifts and fuel)
• Extra spending money for snacks, travel meals, and whatever else you may want to buy
• Cash donations if you may be helping with construction costs or just want to give directly to the home
• Small physical donations (please call us first)
• Passport or passport card (we encourage children under 19 to be with their parents if they do not have a passport/passport card; otherwise they will need a notarized letter and their birth certificate)
• Tools for construction team (depending on the task)
• Appropriate dress
